The WELCOME TO HAITI (Vin'n Investi) album by the Haitian Group
T-vice is an album where they try to deliver many messages to their
audience. Some of the songs on this album were actually written after
the massive hearth quake in Haiti. The album is packed with emotions.
This album follows the success of Kite'm Viv which had a lot of hit
singles. Welcome to Haiti has a lot of potential. This is it, which
feature Tjoe Zenith, in it's own right can be the major hit on the
album. Toi et Moi appears to be a sign of growth for T-vice, and Welcome
To Haiti is the stand out as lyrically it is more mature with
surprising gems like Tampri souple with Olivier Dupoux and Mwen Damou.
Fem Vole is probably the best song on the record. It delivers a
rhythmical experience that I at least did not expect. Not only that,
T-Vice shows the diversity on this album that later will be one of their
trademarks. It is all a great mix of passion from an exceptionally good
writers and artists.
Kompa fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the
project including Mikaben and Powersurge plus a few other notables as
well.
If you're a T-Vice fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be
without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don't even have to
be a fan of T-Vice to know is good. It's just good music. Period.
If you have not gotten your hands on a copy of WELCOME TO HAITI
(Vin'n Investi), you really should, because it is an amazing album.
