A Better Haitian Music Industry

Published: Nov 19, 2011 by admin Filed under: Music
Many of us dream of a better Haitian Music Industry and for some it will be nothing but a dream, because they are living in the past or because they are in deny. However, we can create a better Haitian Music Industry if we really want to! Where do we star? Let’s start with the product that we are putting out there for the consumer. I want the producers and artists to respect and polish their crafts. Nowadays, Haitian Artists have plenty of places to get their inspiration from. Pretty much all around them, all they have to do is to slow down and appreciate life . Some producers are only in it for a quick buck and the lack of professionalism is killing the business. Virtually after every tax season we have producers and promoters out of the woodwork looking to make some cold cash and in the process they are doing more damage then good to the industry. I think it’s time for us to have guidelines for the Haitian Music Industry. Just imagine a country without any rules, total anarchy, chaos and barbarians. A recipes for disaster. We have Djs that are literally pandering to artists in other to play a record. Just the thought of it make me sick to my stomach. We need a company who specialise in getting rid of the payola in the Haitian Music Industry, and let's be honest, we have a lot of this going on.
