French rescuers
extracted yesterday a young woman alive from the rubble of a building in
Port-au-Prince, more than two weeks after the earthquake of January 12. The miracle is called Darlene
Etienne, according to his cousin.
It was found in the ruins of St Gerard College of
Port-au-Prince, and immediately transported to hospital by emergency
mobile French. The last date rescue in Port-au-Prince was dated Saturday, when a
man had been taken from the ruins of the store in a hotel.
A man was also found Tuesday under the rubble, but he said he
was there since one of the many aftershocks of the January 12. The Haitian government had declared Friday
afternoon late phase of research, noting there was little hope of
finding earthquake survivors.
According to the Office for the Coordination
of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) UN, more than 130 people were taken alive
from the rubble since the earthquake of January 12.
